Join us on September 19th and 26th!
Attendance at both sessions is required, and organizations are encouraged to send two or more individuals.
Have you felt that you could be a better board member, or that the board you serve on is dysfunctional and/or stagnant? Have you thought that there must be a better approach? There is hope!
Mid-Shore Community Foundation is hosting this program for nonprofits in Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot Counties. The program is designed and facilitated by Rob Levit, Licensed Consultant, Standards for Excellence® Institute. Participants will enjoy valuable networking and collaboration opportunities, while learning to build effective boards!
Participants will explore strategies and tools to build effective boards, that both lead and inspire — tailored to align with the organization’s size and the community it serves. Through both discussion and practical exercises, participants will learn about the Governance Triangle, key roles and responsibilities of the board, the board’s part in strategic planning, fiduciary duties, and more.
There is no cost to attend. Space is limited and advanced registration is required. Lunch will be provided.
