On Friday, October 4, 2019, the Mid-Shore Community Foundation is hosting a Nonprofit Workshop: Purposeful Boards/Powerful Fundraising, featuring Chuck V. Loring, MBA, CFRE. CEO’s/Executive Directors should attend with as many board members as possible.

Chuck V. Loring, MBA, CFRE is a senior partner in the Fort Lauderdale- and Indianapolis-based firm of Loring, Sternberg & Associates, which provides fundraising and governance consulting services to nonprofits, and a Senior Governance Consultant for BoardSource, which supports nonprofit organizations with resources and tools to strengthen governance and board and staff leadership. Chuck has helped hundreds of nonprofits across the country strengthen their boards and improve their governance practices, and advanced the missions of world renowned organizations.

This session addresses the complementary roles board members play in their organization’s governance and resource development. The session begins with a look at board recruitment, structure, operations and culture. The second part of the session focuses on how to involve board members in effective fundraising and their role in supporting bequest and planned giving programs.

The program will be held in the Todd Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College, 1000 College Circle, Wye Mills, MD 21679.

Registration and Continental Breakfast will begin at 7:45 AM. The program will begin at 8:25 AM and end at 3:30 PM. Lunch will be provided. Advance registration is required.
