Demystifying the Grant Writing Process


On Tuesday, October 8, 2019, the Mid-Shore Community Foundation is presenting a grant writing workshop for Caroline County Nonprofits. The session will begin at 10:00am and will be held at the Chesapeake Culinary Center, 512 Franklin Street, Denton, MD 21629. Kathy Bosin, an award-winning nonprofit leader and Licensed Consultant from the Standards for Excellence® Institute, will facilitate the session. Coffee will be provided.

You are invited to attend the Caroline Advisory Committee Meeting, which will follow the wokshop, or take a box lunch to go. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Your $10 registration fee is a donation to the MSCF Fund for Caroline County which provides discretionary grants targeting the needs of Caroline County.

Kathy Bosin is a nonprofit consultant and freelance grant writer and is licensed by the Standards for Excellence Institute, a national accreditation body for nonprofits. She has experience on all sides of nonprofit organizations - as a volunteer, staff person, executive director, board member, and outside consultant. She has worked in psychiatric rehabilitation, urban neighborhood revitalization, community gardening, and small business incubation. Kathy is a representative of Dock Street Foundation, a family foundation in Talbot County that supports health, kids, the arts, education, and the environment. She has been very successful in writing grant proposals for a wide variety of nonprofits. Her motto is, "It's not the grant writer that wins grant awards - excellent programs earn grant funding."
